Rules
While active in our server, you must follow Discord's Terms of Service and CFX's Terms of Service. Failure to do so will result in a kick and/or ban from Lost Souls Roleplay.
Bullying and harassment are strictly prohibited both in-game and on Discord. Any players found engaging in such behavior will be removed from our servers. This includes, but is not limited to, hate speech, hate crimes, doxing, swatting, IP sniffing, extortion, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and the sharing of intimate information. Offensive slang, as well as homophobic, racial, or gender-based slurs, will result in a ban. Slurs targeting nationality are also not tolerated.
We do not tolerate catfishing. If it is found that you are sending photos that are not of yourself or lying about your real age and gender, you will be banned from the server indefinitely. We do not believe in pretending to be someone you are not or pushing that narrative onto others.
You may only wear specific clothing items or use specific vehicles if you are employed in the corresponding jobs for them. If you do not have the proper job and are caught using any of the following items, you will receive a warning, kick, or ban depending on the severity and repetition of your offense. If you are caught circumventing the blacklisted clothing restrictions and exploiting the menu to access them, you will be banned.
All in-game activities, including money transactions, inventory management, crafting, and shop interactions, are logged and monitored for fair gameplay. This includes both job stashes and personal stashes. It is strictly prohibited to add disallowed items to your stashes or engage in any form of cheating or exploiting game mechanics. Our monitoring systems track every transaction and interaction, ensuring that the server's economy remains balanced and fair for all players. Any attempts to manipulate or abuse these systems will be detected, and appropriate action will be taken, which may include warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans depending on the severity of the violation. Players are encouraged to play honestly and responsibly, respecting the rules and guidelines set forth to maintain a positive and enjoyable gaming environment for everyone.
Your weapon should be the last option to escape from a scenario. Choosing gunplay and unnecessary escalation of force over roleplay will not be tolerated. Use your voice and find creative ways to RP out of situations before resorting to violence. Players found to be habitually resorting to violence (robbing, killing, shooting) with little to no roleplay between scenes will face disciplinary action. Lost Souls RP is a serious roleplay server where interactions should be driven by a narrative and should not be seen as another version of Grand Theft Auto: Online. By spending a majority of your time performing violent acts, you are demonstrating that you are not here to roleplay and will be removed.
When creating a character, use a realistic first and last name.
A microphone IS required. Please use push-to-talk when using your microphone.
We ask that our players use their maps and adventure all over the city, meet new people, and create good stories! Make stories people want to be involved in.
Engaging in metagaming will lead to a warning or ban, as these actions undermine the integrity and enjoyment of the roleplaying experience for all participants. Metagaming involves using out-of-character knowledge, information, or resources to gain an unfair advantage in a roleplaying scenario. This includes, but is not limited to, using details from forums, Discord, streams, or private chats to influence decisions or actions that your character wouldn't realistically know. Metagaming disrupts the immersion and fairness of roleplay by blurring the line between player knowledge and character knowledge.
Engaging in powergaming will lead to a warning or ban, as these actions undermine the integrity and enjoyment of the roleplaying experience for all participants. Powergaming involves portraying a character in a way that prioritizes gaining advantages or dominating roleplay situations, often at the expense of fairness, realism, or collaborative storytelling. This can include, but is not limited to, overpowered abilities, unrealistic skills, or forcing outcomes in roleplay interactions without allowing other players a reasonable chance to respond or participate. Powergaming can lead to unbalanced roleplay dynamics, lack of meaningful interactions, and a negative impact on the overall roleplay experience for everyone.
Do not have out-of-character discussions in-game. This also includes using phone applications like messaging, phone calls, and social media for OOC communication.
Do not kidnap, rob, or assault EMS and medical staff for any reason. Medical staff, police, and reporters are not allowed to participate in criminal activity while on or off duty.
Do not seek revenge unless it is shared with you by another character through roleplay.
Players are prohibited from purchasing excessive amounts of items from hardware stores or convenience stores in a single visit. This includes but is not limited to buying large quantities of weapons, ammunition, or consumables beyond what is reasonable for roleplay purposes. Players should prioritize realistic purchasing behavior and avoid hoarding items that would disrupt the server's economy or gameplay balance.
RDM refers to the act of killing another player's character without any prior interaction or valid roleplay reason.
(Example: Shooting another player without any roleplay interaction or without a valid in-character reason.) This behavior is strictly prohibited.
VDM involves using a vehicle to harm or kill another player's character without justifiable in-character circumstances.
(Example: Intentionally running over another player with a vehicle without proper roleplay context or reason.) This behavior is strictly prhohibited.
Safe zones or green zones are areas where criminal and violent actions such as, but not limited to, killing, robbing, fighting, and carjacking are not permitted. The area that dictates a safe zone is largely based on the location itself, but generally the zone is any hospital. If someone runs into a green zone to get away from role play that was started outside of the zone, the green zone safety is void. Camping outside of a green zone area in order to immediately engage in violent RP can be treated as a green zone violation.
Event Rules: Do not bring an excess amount of vehicles to car meets. Only one vehicle per person is allowed. Emergency services are not allowed to use their privileges during events for an unfair advantage against other players. You may attend and show up in uniform, but you cannot stack up on medkits or medication to use for health restoration or take weapons and gear from police armories. You must use your own supplies that you bought from the store or acquired through RP with other players. Particular services may be requested by LSRP staff for events where privileges are permitted for use (EMS for Airsoft or Boxing, PD for security and organization, etc.) For some events, uniforms are not allowed at all and you must be off duty (Example: The Purge).
